Fender Mex Standard Jazz, indigo metallic, made in 2000. Is it blue, or purple, or... burple? We may never know. Either way, it looks pretty dope. The Mex Standard series ran for a couple of decades from the early 90s and are generally regarded to be very playable, enjoyable sounding instruments. This delivers that brief: it's got a comfy neck, sturdy hardware and sounds like a Jazzy. There's a nice balance of growl and snap on offer. You can't go too wrong here, but do report back about whether it's blue or purple, such things keep me up at night sometimes.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some scuffs on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some rub wear on the back only. The back has a dent in the elbow area and some scuffs on the bottom horn, bottom corner and middle of the body. The sides have scuffs on the bottom horn and near the jack. The front has some light scuffs around the controls and in the elbow area and some play wear on the guard and horn. Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets have normal wear but are pretty even with no major buzz issues, 7/10 for fret life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.

This listing is an archived entry. We love to look back and remember fondly what characters we've had through the store, so we keep them around for reference.
