(SOLD) Cort MR-780FX Acoustic/Electric Natural Gloss 2004
Cort MR-780FX, natural gloss, made in Korea 2004. First up: this has a minor crack in the top in the elbow area, as listed below. It's such a minor issue that we've deemed it not a functional issue and not in need of repair, as the position means that it's stable and doesn't rattle etc. The guitar is priced accordingly; they were over $1000AUD new in their day. Next: aw geez, that quilt maple. It's a sight to behold, with some really juicy grain on show all over the place. The solid spruce top is a tidy, tightly grained piece, and the guitar has a crisp, warm, eloquent voice acoustically. The pickup system is good too, with a piezo and a small microphone that you can blend for a nice natural sound. Heaps of guitar for the cash, you'll be pleased you Cort it.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has a decent dent on the bottom edge near the high E tuner, as well as some dimples on the end, edges and back. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear on the back only. The back has light scuffs on the top horn, elbow area and bottom corner. The sides have scuffs on both horns and near the jack and some dimples in the elbow area. The front has a minor crack approx 8cm long in the elbow area, but it's stable, doesn't buzz/ring and could almost be in the finish only. There's also dimples on the bottom horn, behund the bridge and elbow area and play wear around the soundhole. Overall: good condition (6/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. The frets have some minor wear but are fairly even, 7/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
