Tokai Silver Star TJM-140 Jazzy style, sonic blue, made in Japan 2018. This is nice, it feels really good. Tokai have been making very high quality Fender-style instruments since the 1970s, and they're still doing it today. This one is a pretty recent example, and it's a worthy part of their lineage: the execution is really good. The finish looks great, it's super tidy with a nice slightly yellow tint over the sky blue and some complementary minty plastics and a cool matching haircut. The neck is an agreeable moderate rounded C shape, which along with the sturdy hardware makes for an easy player. The tone has that snappy brightness typical of a JM, with heaps of clarity and space in the highs and mids and an understated, tuneful bass. This is an enjoyable guitar, through and through.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The  headstock has a minor dimple on the  end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has minor scuffs on the bottom horn and near the neck plate. The sides have some minor scuffs near the jack. The front has some minor scuffs around the tailpiece and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 9/10, minor wear only
