(SOLD) Yamaha FG-201B Dreadnought Acoustic 1977
Yamaha FG-201B, made in Japan 1977, natural gloss. Yamaha's FG series launched in the 1960s and has been made in one form or another continuously to this day. This is a fun vintage strummer: it's clear and warm in tone and unassuming in aesthetic. The yellowed spruce top looks especially tasty, there's lots of calming parallel lines and slight colour variations to reward a close look. It's cool to score yourself a totally handmade instrument with plenty of songs on the clock for the kind of cash that barely buys you a decent case brand new these days. FG= fruppn' great.

Case: basic non-original vintage hard case
Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some minor dimples on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has some scuffs on the elbow area and bottom corner and some rub wear on the shoulders. The sides have some dimples in the elbow area and bottom corner. The front has a decent dent and some dimples in the elbow area, dimples along the back edge and play wear on the guard and shoulders. Overall: good condition (7/10).
Playing condition notes: action is moderately low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. The frets have some normal wear but there's no major buzz issues, 7/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
