Bacchus Craft Series BJB-62C Vintage White 2001

Bacchus Craft Series BJB-62C, vintage white, made in Nagano, Japan 2001. Bacchus guitars enjoy a stellar reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, excellent materials and amazing feel, and this one is no different. Craft Series instruments are all hand made by a small team in Japan's stunning Nagano prefecture; it's a smaller and much more specialised team than other iconic MIJ brands. This is a twist on the classic '62 Jazz Bass, so you get some traditional styling and appointments like a 7.25" radius, a creamy white finish with a tort guard and two Bacchus-made passive single coils, but with some tasty high quality touches like factory fitted CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack and an easy access truss rod. This one has been modded with a Badass-style bridge, which adds some tuning stability and brightness to the tone. It has a very bright, sprightly and assertive tone; there's a whole lot of definition and cut on offer, balanced by a thick juicy low end that really tastes good. As with most Bacchus instruments, the magic is in the feel: this is an effortless and addictive player, it's gold in the hands. These are a cult-favourite for good reason: it's a pretty fun cult to join!

The back is pretty clean, just some minor scuffing in the middle and along the body carve as well as the start of some checking lines. The sides have a few minor marks: some rub wear revealing the wood on the shoulder, a minor chip below the rear strap pin, some dimples around from the knobs. The front is fairly clean, just a couple of dimples on the top horn and near the pickups and some scratching on the guard. Overall: good condition (7.5/10)

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some minor wear but are looking great, 8/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105s.
