(SOLD) Epiphone Viola Bass Vintage Sunburst 2013
Epiphone Viola, made in China 2013, vintage sunburst. This is a really fun little bass. Taking it's queues from the classic 1960s Hofner Violin Bass, or 'Beatle Bass', it's got a pair of mini-humbuckers and a hollow maple body. It's lightweight, lively in the hands and easy to get around on. The short 30.5" scale means it's a little slinkier and friendlier on the fingers than a regular full length bass, plus it contributes to the thumpy, warm tone. Plugged in, you get a warm, rounded, friendly thump, perfect for jazz or folk stuff, plus it pulls that early Beatles tone convincingly. The Beatle Bass is a really fun design and a welcome addition to a player's collection, and this one is surprisingly well executed... fun!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has a couple of minor dimples on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks., The back has a few light scuffs near the neck joint and back and bottom edge. The sides have no major marks, just a few dimples on the top horn and some light scuffs on the bottom horn and near the jack. The front has some light scuffs from play in the elbow area, some scuffs near the controls on the edge and some play wear on the horns, no major marks. Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear only, 9/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 45-105 Moonshiners strings.
