Bacchus Craft Series 'Windy', made in Japan, deep blue. Bacchus guitars are renowned for exceptional build quality and timber selection, and while they're a low-profile brand internationally, they do very well indeed in Japan. The Craft Series are made largely by hand in the small-scale traditional Bacchus workshop in Japan to a brilliant standard. This one is a take on the classic Jazzmaster, but with some practical twists. You get a pair of crunchy, thick humbukcers and a simple three way switch as well as a super stable tune-o-matic style bridge and stoptail for excellent intonation and tuning accuracy. Plugged in, this has a full, driving tone that's very touch sensitive; it's a brilliant rock and roll guitar. The real magic is in the neck: the satin finished rock maple feels heavenly to the touch; it's seriously brilliant. This will easily rival guitars at 2-3 times the dollars for fit and finish and tone. Plus, the dark blue has a simple oceanic charm, no?
