Morales MF250 dreadnought, made in Japan 1967-8. Morales guitars were a brand owned by Zen-On music, who still produce sheet music these days. The made some noteworthy Mosrite style electrics, but their 'folk guitar' line was cool too. This has all sorts of cool little aesthetic touches: cowboy hat inlays, slotted tuners, bold headstock decals, seven ply binding... it's got a whole lot of swagger. It offers a warm and balanced tone, not too bright or dark and with a tasty crisp attack. The neck is moderate in profile and in good shape, it's arrow-straight with a working truss rod and recently levelled frets and an agreeable low action.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some minor marks on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has widespread light surface scuffs, as well as a couple of small scratches on the edges on the shoulders and bottom bout. The sides have light rub wear and minor dimples on the binding on the whole body, but no major marks. The front is also pretty tidy, just some minor dimples and scuffs on the edge in the elbow and bottom bout areas as well as some standard play wear on the shoulders. There's a fade mark from a since removed guard. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: action is moderately low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets appear recently dressed and are nice and even, but there's some height gone, 7/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
