(SOLD) Squier Contemporary Telecaster RH Pearl White 2020
Squier Contemporary Tele, pearl white, made in China 2020. This is a cool little modern take on the classic genre. First up, you get a cool roasted maple neck, carved to a modern C with an 'easy access' heel joint and a 12" shred-friendly radius. The neck is fast and stable, it works a treat. The pickups are a pair of moderate output humbuckers, so there's heaps of go on tap. The middle position delivers a more classic Tele-twang, which being an old man, I enjoy. The neck HB is thick and creamy, while the bridge rails-style pickup is surprisingly hot, shunning clean tones in favour of a generous midrange-heavy overdrive. The pearl white finish reminds me of my Dad's BMW, so take or leave what you will from that irrelevant piece of info. The burning question: why didn't they just name it the Contempocaster?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock and neck are pretty clean, no major marks. The back has no major marks, just some minor scuffs near the ferrules. The sides have no major marks, just some minor scuffs near the jack. The front has a couple of very light dimples behind the bridge and some light play marks on the horns, no major marks. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets have minor wear only, 9/10 for fret life left. Setup with fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
