(SOLD) Tanglewood Sundance Pro TW15/12nse 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic 2010
Tanglewood Sundance 12-String, made in China 2010 approx, natural satin finish. Tanglewood guitars enjoy a huge following in their native UK and Europe,here in Australia they're appreciated by a smaller but loyal group of enthusiasts. The Sundance line was the flagship offering in it's day, so this is built with a lot of care and has a deluxe spec list. It's all solid: solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, one piece mahogany neck and an Indian rosewood board. The wood combo offers a rich, warm and harmonically complex tone with a whole lot of body. The satin finish lets the wood breathe nicely and adds a certain understated charm to the aesthetic. The neck is on the slimmer side for a 12, but the string spacing is still pretty intuitive and it's easy enough to get your chord voicings and riffs sining nicely. These are a bargain brand new; they punch harder than many guitars twice the price, so picking up a used one like this in great shape is surely a terrific way to tickle your twelve twitch.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some minor dimples on the end, no major marks. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has some rub wear along the top edge and some light scuffs and surface scratches on the bottom corner, no major marks. The sides have a few light scuffs around the bout on the top and bottom sides, again, light marks only. The front is pretty clean, some dimples and rub wear up where your elbow sits, a very light checking line in the lacquer only on the top horn and some play scratches on the guard and above the strings. Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Frets are in great shape with minor wear only, 8/10 for fret life left. Strings aren't brand new but have heaps of life in them.
