It's still very much a small, custom builds style operation, with every pedal that leaves their HQ built with a lot of lvoe and care. The Sun Face is Mike's take on the classic Arbiter Fuzz Face circuit. This particular version is blessed with the Big Ass Russian Transistor (BART), with a couple of optional extras also included: the 'sun dial' bias control, an LED, and a standard 9v C power input. The tone is awesome: somewhere between the classic FF style smoothness and vintage Muff-style compressed, fat warmth. The Sun control allows for snarlier, more sputtery tones if dialled left, or a punchier, louder and more midrange-focused fuzz if dialled to the right. There's an internal trim pot to add some clean back in too, which is a nice option. The waitlist for a new example is getting very long, so to score a clean example like this is cool and clever.
