The pickups lean further in the same direction: the Texas Special single coils are hot and punchy, with an assertive kick in the low end and a snarly treble, while the bridge humbucker is creamy with plenty of midrange push. The black-on-black looks cool, and paired with the big headstock and CBS-era logos, it definitely has a no-nonsense charm.
