Fender Japan ‘62 Jazz Bass JB62-WAL Walnut Finish 2003
Fender '62 Jazz, walnut finish, crafted in Japan 2003. Sliiiiiick! This is a very classy item. There's been a few versions of the 'walnut JB' over the years out of Japan, this is later example. This one enjoys a proper ash body and maple neck, all stained to a rich dark walnut hue and finished in satin; from a distance it looks almost black but it's dark-choc flavour comes out up close. The black hardware is an unusual but welcome addition; it looks seriously slick indeed. The ash body lends this a whole heap of punch and grind through the midrange; it's a tight and tidy tone with a whole lot of attack and definition. The satin finish neck is a dream; the slim trad Jazz Bass profile is already quick, with this finish it's just effortless. Tip: don't expect to last long, friends!
