This terrific Tele came through the shop a while back, landed with one of our regulars, and has now returned with a bunch of fun upgrades. It started life as a 1962 style model: silver spaghetti logo, Kluson-style tuners, a slab rosewood fretboard, heel-end truss adjuster and an alder body, so this one is kitted out to match that winning combination. The neck is a super agreeable vintage slim C: this profile wins many friends fast in the store, it's instantly easy. It's also been blessed with an upgraded Gotoh half-cut bridge with compensated brass saddles, noiseless 50s voiced pickups by Tonerider, a fresh set of electronic components under the hood and a swish black pickguard. It's still an understated aesthetic, but dang, it's a clean and mean machine. The sound is fantastic: clear and chiming with abundant harmonic content and a punchy attack... and no hum. This is heaps of guitar for the cash and will surely make some USA examples blush. The sides have dimples on the top horn, dimples and a scratch in the elbow area, a decent patch of chips and dents near the jack and scuffs on the bottom horn.
