Well this one is adorable, through and through. Back in 1969, Fender released a small run of Telecaster examples in some hippy-inspired finishes, Blue Flower and Pink Paisley. The originals are incredibly rare, and even the first reissues from Japan in the mid 1980s are also edging up towards the A$5k mark these days. This one days to the late 00s, and it's a little different from the more recent examples in that it has the vintage-style 7.25\" radius neck and the burst is a little thinner around the edge, so you get more detail in the finish. It looks amazing. In a fun additional visual detail, the maple in the neck and headstock has a wide wavy pattern to it, so the headstock almost looks pinstriped. The tone on offer is jangly and joyful, with a shimmery clarity and a tuneful immediacy.
