This example dates to 2012, when Gibson were doing a bunch of affordable models under the Tribute series. You get the cool body shape, but with a sensible set of tuners, a simpler set-neck build and a cool matte black nitro finish. The finish has worn around the edges with play, and looks all the better for it. Mini Humbuckers always sound good, and this is no exception: it's got a girthy growl with a piquant top end snap, and it loves a decent dose of distortion.
