Greco TBR75 T-Bird-Style Bass Black 1987
Greco TBR75 Thunderbird style bass, made in Japan 1987, black. This is easily the meanest bass in the shop! Greco have made some excellent Gibson style instruments over the decades, and while you see a fair few LPs around, these Thunderbird style basses were made for a far shorter period and are pretty scarce. The build quality is superb: great fret and finish work, well balanced, light and resonant... gorgeous. The neck is slim and cooperative and nice and straight; it's easy to move around on and feels great in the hands. There's a huge, thick low-mid and low end on tap; it's round, thick and glorious. There's plenty of grind and snap on deck too, but oh boy, this is a rock and roller through and through. There's a couple of glue marks on the back (how does this stuff happen!?); but aside from that this is in great shape. Thunderbirds are go!
Model: Greco TBR75
Made: Japan, 1987 (serial L870226)
Finish: gloss black
Neck: maple with rosewood board, 12" radius, 34" scale

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. Headstock has some minor marks on the end and some scuffs on the back. Neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has some glue marks on the top and bottom wings; they're not greasy or anything but it's proved difficult to get them off. Aside from that, there's some minor dimples around the body, mostly on the top edge. The sides have some minor dimples around the whole body as well as some chips in the elbow area; nothing nasty though. The front is pretty tidy, just some dimples on the elbow area and near the knobs as well as some play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Electronics all tested and working properly. Frets have some light wear, 8/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
