Ibanez was a couple of decades deep by the early 80s, and the iunstruments were made at the excellent Fujigen Gakki factory, which was also producing Fender Japan's JV serial instruments at the time. This one counts as a Superstrat, although there's something a bit Ric-ish about the top horn. The red pinstriping around the body looks super slick, and paired with the black hardware, it's a cool look. The neck and headstock have been refinished, but it feels slick in the hands and all works well, although the decal is a little wobbly up close. It's an agreeable medium C shape shape with twenty four frets, and it plays slick and quick all the way up the neck. The back has dents and scuffs in the elbow area and top horn, as well as scuffs around the trem cavity and back edge. The sides have minor dimples around the whole body.
