He's won a few awards and built well over 100 guitars since kicking off, so he knows a thing or two. This beauty dates to 2021. It borrows a little from the LP genre and a little from the Maton Mastersound, but it's an original shape and plays with plenty of personality. The body is chambered Tassie Cypress, a beautiful lightweight timber that smells fantastic, topped with an amazing piece of highly figured Myrtle. It's resonant and lively in the hands, an the small size makes it a comfy couch companion. The neck is Queensland Maple, topped with a dark and lush piece of Indian Rosewood. The bolt-on join lends the tone a little extra snap and clarity. Plug it in, and you win some more: the neck pickup is percussive and fat with a glassy top end, and the bridge pickup is warm and creamy with a wide and complex midrange.
