The operation was owned by Steck Piano Company and made amps always dressed in fetching red tolex. This one is a 4x12\" combo.... sensibilities have changed a little over the years, but heck, what a format. It's a pretty simple set of controls: volume, three band EQ and tremolo speed and depth. The tremolo is a gorgeous subtle harmonic affair, which sounds terrific. There's plenty of clean headroom on offer, although with the volume above halfway the tone warms up around the edges nicely. It's a fat, expansive, rich tone with a sweet gooey texture through the mids, it's very enjoyable.
