Martin Standard Series OM-21 Natural 2017
Martin OM-21, natural gloss, made in USA 2017. If you were stuck on a desert island with one guitar forever, a classy small body Martin flat top would surely be a fine choice. This one is an OM-21: full 25.5" scale neck like a dreadnought, but the smaller 000 size body, dressed neatly without frills and made from some top notch spruce and rosewood. The spruce top is lovely: perfectly bookmatched, finely grained and extremely resonant. The rosewood is similarly appealing: dark and streaky with a plenty of detail to reward a close look. The natural fast bass response of the rosewood pairs with the bright and balanced chime of the spruce. The small body makes for a natural eloquence and detail, lending nuance and clarity to fingerstyle or strummed lines. It's a great sound, inviting and warm and perfect for accompanying vocals. The slim neck and light weight make this an easy player too, you're never working too hard to get your notes out. This is a very enjoyable little guitar, it's sure to please.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, dimples and minor rub wear on the back only. The back has minor scuffs on the shoulders and back edge and some rub wear on the elbow area and bottom side. The sides have minor scuffs on the top shoulder, elbow area and bottom corner, as well as dimples on the bottom shoulder. The front has dimples on the back edge near the strap pin and the bottom corner, as well as light scuffs in the elbow area and some play wear on the guard and shoulders.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing Condition Notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Setup with 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
