Martin Standard Series OM-21 Natural 2020
Martin OM-21, natural finish, made in USA 2020. The Standard Series delivers time tested designs from the world's most iconic steel string makers. The OM-21 is a small body size, but with a full scale length. Those dimensions, combined with the classic sitka spruce and Indian rosewood combo, make for a terrifically articulate, balanced, eloquent voice. The lows are full and round, the midrange is dry and wide and the top end has a singing clarity. The touch sensitivity and dynamic range are also very impressive. This example has seen some play and has opened up nicely, it sounds and feels like home straight away. The previous owner was a discerning sort, so he's installed a handy magnetic humbucker rather than a piezo style pickup, which translates the acoustic sound convincingly and emphasizes the warmth and body more than the quacky pluck you sometimes get from an under-saddle style pickup. This will record or perform live brilliantly, or... it can be your little secret that you sneak home to every evening. Glorious.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor dimples around the posts on the front. The is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some rub wear on the back only. The back has scuffs on the shoulders, rub wear in the middle and elbow area and some dimples along the back edge and bottom corner. The sides have dimples on the top shoulder and elbow area, rub wear and light scuffs in the bottom corner and waist area and some dimples on the bottom shoulder. The front has scuffs along the back edge and elbow area, dimples on the shoulders and around the bridge and some play wear on the guard and around the soundhole.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Setup with 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
