Takamine PTU408 NS Parlour Electric/Acoustic Natural 1994
Taakamine PTU408, natural satin, made in Japan 1994. This is a gorgeous little guitar, it's very enjoyable indeed. Takamine call this shape a New Yorker; it's a parlour style offering with a 14th fret join not dissimilar from a Martin 00. The classic Tak combo of a cedar and mahogany make for a balanced, warm, rich tone with articulate highs and a generous gooeyness through the lows and mids. The Palathetic pickup system was top of the lineat the time, and features individual sensors for each string, delivering a tasteful dry, warm tone plugged in. The neck is a moderate C shape, it sits very comfortably in the hand, and paired with the small body, this is just so easy to play. There's a lot to enjoy here for a little thing!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and some light scuffs on the front. The is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear and some dimples on the back only. The back has some light scuffs along the centre line and some dimples in the elbow area and bottom corner. The sides have light scuffs on both horns and some dimples in the elbow area, near the jack and in the bottom corner. The front has dimples around the bridge, along the back edge and in the elbow area, as well as some play wear on the shoulders and around the sound hole.
Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Setup with 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
