Fender Japan ST57-SS Smart Size Stratocaster Sunburst 2012
Fender ST57-SS Smart Size Strat, sunburst, made in Japan 2012. This is super cute. The Smart Size models were only made for a year or two, many moons before the current Junior line. The idea is to take the 1957 style model and shrink it down to fun size. The body is a 7/8th size and the neck is a 22.5" scale, so it's a little larger than a 3/4 size would usually be. It's got a handy rails-style humbucker in the bridge position and a hardtail bridge, but aside from that, most of the '57 style appointments are there. It's super fun to play: the neck is comfy and carved from some nice maple, the body is super couch-friendly and lightweight, it holds tune... it's a bit of a dreamboat really. The pickups are the same as the usual ST57 model, so the sound is great: bright and glassy up top, plenty of fast punchy bass and a balanced, airy midrange. Whether you're buying for your kid, you're on the smaller side yourself, you want a couch-friendly sized riff machine or you're after something that fits in your bag to travel with, this is super awesome. Smart.

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
