Bacchus Woodline P-Classic White 2005
Bacchus Woodline P-Classic, white, made in Japan 2005. The mid-00s Woodline series basses are outstanding instruments. We've had a bunch of the J-style offerings through the shop, but this is a bit more unusual. It's references the classic 60s-style Precision Bass, but with slightly squarer edges, an easy-access neck join, an accessible heel-end truss adjuster and Bacchus' trademark incredible woodwork. The neck is a dream: super tight maple and a thick slab of rosewood, carved to a fast C shape that tapers a little wider than a Fender for easy articulation up the neck. The tone is awesome: heaps of growl and warmth through the mids, round and assured down low with a sweet, understated high end; it will round out a mix perfectly. If you're after a P-style bass that plays and sounds like a boutique high end offering but leaves plenty in the budget for parmigianas, this is your friend.
