Fender American Standard Precision, lefty, made in USA 1997, Candy Apple Red. Southpaws rejoice! This is a super practical bass that's ready for action, provided you live in the Upside Down. The American Standard series launched in 1987 and ran for many decades, delivering well appointed instruments that have filled stages and studios worldwide with no-nonsense performance. This one has been blessed with a couple of cool mods: hefty high mass bridge and a high output punchy pickup. It's definitely more of a rock machine now, it does that big dirty growl with glee. If you're only going to buy one bass, it may as well be a solid P, so this makes for a great opportunity.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and some dimples and dents on the treble edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear and dimples on the back only, plus a string of very small dents behind the first fret area. The back has surface scratches along the belly carve, around the string bushings and along the treble side edge, as well as minor scuffs and rub wear around the whole body. The sides have minor dimples and scuffs around the whole body as well as some small dents in the elbow area. The front has scuffs around the bridge and jack, dimples and rub wear in the elbow area as well as play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 8/10, minor wear only
