Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass V Olympic White 2015
Fender Deluxe Jazz V, olympic white, made in Mexico 2015. The Deluxe series from a few years back is the more or less the equivalent of the recent Player Plus stuff. Aside from country of origin, there really wasn't a tonne of difference between these Mex Deluxe basses and the American Deluxe examples: same pickups, same preamp, similar hardware... this is heaps of bass for the cash. You get some trad Jazz things: two single coil pickups, an offset body and a quick neck. You also get more modern stuff: pretty flat 12" radius, lightweight tuners and a preamp with a whole stack of controls to fiddle with. You can pull a fat sound: heaps of attack and punch, with a generous low end heft and a clear, articulate treble. The white looks great too, it's mellowed a little with age and has a dreamy creamy look to it. I give it V out of V.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and scuffs on the top edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear and small dimples on the back only. The back has dimples along the back edge and some scuffs near the battery cover, elbow area and belly carve and a dent to the left of the neck plate. The sides have minor dimples on both horns and the elbow area and some scuffs near the jack. The front has scuffs along the back edge and elbow area, dimples around the bridge and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 45/130 Rotosound strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
