Fender Flea Jazz Bass Faded Shell Pink 2024
Fender Flea Jazz Bass, faded shell pink, made in Mexico 2024. In the 90s and early 00s, one bass player eclipsed all others: Flea, of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. The prodigious Melbourne-born Californian funk-rock magician is a comprehensively weird unit, but he wrote and delivered some of the most iconic bass parts of the last few decades. This model is based off his number one: a 1962 shell pink stacked-knob Jazz Bass. It comes wearing factory-roadworn satin nitro, which looks super cool and feels very slick. The USA pickups are clear, fat and fast, perfect for slap or fingerstyle stuff. There's a lot to like here, and this one presents as basically brand new, so it's a cool score. Tip: never read Flea's autobiography, holy crapola guys, it truly sucks.
