Fender Japan Precision Bass PB62-53 Vintage White 2004
Fender '62 Precision, Vintage White, made in Japan 2004-5. This is a super fun, no-nonsense good looker with plenty to enjoy. The '62 version of the P bass got the silver spaghetti logo, a slab rosewood fretboard, 3-ply tort guard, the single split-coil pickup and the classic curves, so this gets all those to match. The neck is a comfy shape: nice rounded medium C, topped with some classy streaky rosewood, and easy to get along with. The sound fits the bill: thumpy and round, warm through the mids, agreeable to mix. The creamy finish has a few knocks and marks to show for a couple of decades of honest play, but that's more than okay with me. P = yes Please.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear on the back only. The back has minor dents along the back edge, scuffs and dimples in the elbow area, dimples on the bottom horn, rub wear and scuffs on the top horn and some . minor scuffs in the middle of the body. The sides have dimples on the top horn, minor dents and scuffs from the elbow area, down the back edge and past the jack, and minor scuffs on the bottom horn. The front has scuffs around the bridge, dimples and dents in the elbow area, a small dent on the top horn and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 45/105 strings.
