Fender Vintera 60s Mustang Bass Surf Green 2019
Fender Vintera Mustang Bass, surf green, made in Mexico 2019. The Vintera series launched a handful of years back, replacing the earlier Classic line and offering some key shapes and models from bygone decades when life was simpler and guitars were cooler. This little cutie is modelled after the 1968-ish Mustang bass, so you get a comfy 30" short scale neck, the small lightweight body, big chrome tailpiece and mini split coil pickup. It's a fun combo: the thing is so easy to play. The tone on offer is punchy and dark, with a pronounced midrange kick, a strong fundamental note and an unassuming roundness. It's hard to deny the charm of the classic surf green hue, especially with the pearl guard and bold logos. Comes wearing a set of expensive flatwound strings, handy!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the top edge and a dent on the bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has minor scuffs on the horns and dimples around the string bushings. The sides have minor dimples on the elbow area and light scuffs near the jack. The front has dimples around the bridge and play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing La Bella short scale flatwound strings.
Fret life: 9/10, minor wear only
