Lakland Skyline 55-02 Cherry Sunburst 2003
Lakland Skyline 55-02, cherry burst, made in Korea 2003. Lakland enjoy a dedicated following in low-down-town. This is a super versatile bass, it really is hard to imagine a gig you couldn't cover with this in the hands. First up: it's super light. 3.8kg is wildly light for a five string bass, but it still balances perfectly. The neck has a sensible string spacing and a generous taper, so finding your notes and getting them out cleanly all comes naturally. You get a 3-band EQ and can split the bridge pickup a couple of different ways, so you can pull all manner of tones: Stingray style, P-ish, J growl, modern gospel stuff... whatever you require really. This comes with an excellent Hiscox case.
