Our thoughts: What we have here is a Tama Starclassic 1.5mm copper shell with an antique plated finish. It has brushed nickel shell hardware and brushed nickel die-cast hoops for extra mood. It weighs a ton so we wouldn't recommend playing catch-the-snare with it. This guy looks amazing and has an exceptional build quality to it.

Sound's what matters though right? Well, it's outstanding here too. It's outrageously loud, and not just in the cut-your-head-off fashion. It carries a thick attack and thump in the low midrange that gives it real punch and projection, rather than sounding harsh and empty. The Evans Genera head dries it up a bit so we can't get too deep into the nitty-gritty, but what we can hear is good. It's highly tameable with heaps of nuance and character. The copper shell makes for darker overtones, which in this case sit in a nice space, dark and un-invasive, making for pleasant texture.

Our opinion? It's great, everything from looks to sound to build quality check out here. This would definitely carry some versatility, however it would be most at home with the heavier play-style of a drummer who wants something louder than his neighbour's lawnmower at 5am on a Sunday morning.
