Aria Pro II PB-400N, natural gloss, made in Japan 1977. Aria Pro II was the house brand for iconic guitar builders Matsumoku, who made some famous and collectable 'lawsuit era' guitars for Ibanez, Yamaha and others. This is a nice take on the classic P Bass genre. The neck is a moderately beefy profile, but with a slightly slimmer 40mm nut, so it's nice and easy to get your hands around. The natural finish has aged beautifully to a superb wheat-esque golden hue, paired with the tort guard and bold logos, it looks awesome. The tone is thick and thumpy, with a tidy snappy definition on the top end and plenty of girth and fullness. Very cool.

The back has some dents and an extra screw hole on the bottom horn, as well as widespread dimples and scuffs around the whole body. The sides have a couple of dents on the top horn and near the jack as well as minor dimples and scuffs around the whole body. The front has a bunch of dimples along hte back edge, near the knobs and in the elbow area, as well as some scuffs on the guard and horns from play. The guard is a little warped, it bubbles up a couple of mm below the strings but is pretty flush around the edges. Overall: good condition (7/10).
