Aria RB700N bass, natural maple, made in Japan 1979 approx. A bass in this style is on 'the list' for a lot of players, but a legit vintage Ric will set you back a small fortune these days. Aria Pro II stuff from this era is all made in the famed Matsumoku plant in Japan, so this cheeky 'lawsuit' era is built to a brilliant standard from some lovely maple. It's not too heavy and rings out enthusiastically unplugged; it's very lively in the hands. The neck is a moderately chunky D-style number that balances well against the body and feels very reassuring. This one has weathered it's four decades handsomely, save for a minor bridge repair (see below) it's all original and looks great. The tone on offer is a grinding, growly punch; perfect for aggressive styles and certainly enhanced with a bit of overdrive. These aren't easy to come by these days, so if it's in your sights, don't hesitate too long!

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Electronics all tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for life left. The bridge is bent slightly at the back, as is common with Ric-style models, but the saddle slots have been professionally adjusted to correct the action, so it's all functionally fine.
