(ARCHIVE) Cimar 370-12 Hummingbird Style 12-String Acoustic Cherry Burst 1976

- Guitarchives
Cimar 370-12, made in Japan mid 1970s, cherry burst. This is a lovely old thing. Cimar was owned by the same company as Ibanez, so they were making cute little vintage style instruments in Japan in the mid 70s. This is a copy of the Gibson Hummingbird 12 string. It's held up remarkably well: the top is basically flat, the action is low, the original bridge still functions perfectly, the tuners are original... it's in top shape. It's fairly easy to play for a 12 and the tuning stability is very respectable. If you want to fill the 12-string hole in your stash with something tasty that won't scare your accountant too much, here's a friendly bird with plenty of songs still to sing.
