Cool Z ZPB-M1R, blonde finish, made in Japan 2009. This is awesome, I really enjoy it. Cool Z is a house brand for major Japanese instrument chain Shimamura Gakki, who have several stores around Japan. They're made at the famed Fujigen Gakki plant, the very same factory that made all those famous Fender Japan guitars from 1982-96 as well as producing Ibanez Prestige and other high end instruments to this day. This guy is P-flavoured, but with a 7/8ths body and a medium 32" scale neck. They're small changes, but heck, it translates to an effortless feel, with easy movement around the neck and a lightweight gig-friendly body. The tone is very convincing too: fat and round with heaps of juicy lows, punctuated by an immediate tuneful midrange. Needless to say the creamy blonde finish looks a treat too, it's a little lemon cheesecake for your eyes and ears. I'll wager this much: you'll have playing this one.
