Cool Z ZTL-10M, vintage white, made in Japan 2016. I like this one! Cool Z is a house brand for major Japanese instrument chain Shimamura, who have stores all over Japan. They're made at the legendary Fujigen Gakki plant, the very same factory that made all those famous Fender Japan guitars from 1982-96 as well as producing Ibanez Prestige and other tasty biscuits to this day. This is their take on the classic Telecaster, but with a few sensible modern conveniences. This is their take on the classic Tele, and it's done really well. It's got some modern conveniences: the slim fast modern C neck, easy-end truss rod adjuster, six saddle bridge and easy-access neck joint are all nice touches. The classic T-twang is all there: the bridge is full and bursting with warmth and complexity, while the neck is zesty and plump. Most of these we've had through have been natural finish, but I like the crisp creamy white, it pairs well with the black guard and golden maple board. This punches well above it's price and is just one of those 'feels/looks/sounds good' instruments... more of those please and thanks.
