Duesenberg Starplayer Special, blue sparkle, made in Germany 2008. This, friends, is a party machine. The Starplayer model is known for it's exceptional at-deco styling and a precise, clear tone that sits beautifully on the top of a mix. The SP Special is the gnarly cousin of the iconic TV model; it's got a solid alder body and a bolt-on neck and a pair of humbuckers; all that adds up to a snappier, growlier tone that's absolutely perfect for nasty rock and roll. The tone knob is clever; it has a notch in the middle: below the notch it acts as a regular treble roll-off, above the notch it gradually splits the coils to a single coil tone. The neck is a lovely piece of maple and the moderate round, slim profile feels super comfy in the hands; it's an easy player with a lot of character. The blue sparkle finish is sure to look excellent on stage; it'll add a classy touch of glamour to your live performance effortlessly. Absolutely cool.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. Headstock has a minor dimple on the end, no major marks. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has some widespread light scuffs and surface scratches but no major marks. The sides have a couple of little marks: dimples on the top horn and some very light scuffs on the shoulder and around the jack. The front has a reasonable dent on the shoulder area but no other major marks. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some minor wear, 7/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
