Duesenbery Starplayer TV Fullerton, vintage white, made in Germany 2011. You don't see many Duesies pop up on the used market; we grab them whenever we get half a chance on account of their majesty and swagger. This one is the Fullerton variant on the iconic Starplayer TV; basically the same appointments but on a sleek symmetrical double cut body with an all over solid finish. It's a superbly beautiful item in the flesh; frankly it's gorgeous and shouldn't be left unattended lest it break the hearts of your friends and acquaintances. The trademark hifi 'ping' is all there: crisp clarity, uncanny note separation and all the eloquence of career diplomat. The P90 in the neck is a creamy treat; it contrasts or blends superbly against the crunchy bridge humbucker. The lightweight semi-hollow body and moderate round neck are comfy and familiar; it's a lively and welcoming guitar to play. Plus, the Dues trem is one of the most stable and practical options going around, so that's fun. Grab a minty mate for a whole lot less than the new street price and join the ranks of 'those who know' the joys of German engineering in musical form.
