Edwards E-J-78TV bass, made in Japan around 2000, red. For the uninitiated, Edwards is the vintage style division of ESP guitars, so they're made to an exceptional standard in Japan and generally reference shapes and styles by Gibson and Fender. This model is a signature model of Jun Onose, better known as 'J', bass player for Visual-Kei pioneers Luna Sea. It's based roughly on a Gibson LP Junior shape, but with a practical bolt-on 24 fret neck. The pair of passive humbuckers doles out a juicy, rounded, warm tone with a honky pronounced midrange and plenty of thick low end. The neck is fast and easy shape, so you're never working too hard to move around and get your notes out, plus it's blessed with a super dark pretty rosewood board. It's a simple aesthetic, but it'd surely look great on stage. You get a monster of bass for the dime here, there's a lot to love!

Model: Edwards E-J-78TV
Made: Japan, 2000 approx (no serial on these)
Finish: red, gloss poly
Body: mahogany
Neck: maple, rosewood board, 12" radius, 34" scale
Weight: 4.040kg
Mods: thumb rests added then removed, knobs replaced

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has a few minor marks on the end and back, plus the truss cover is missing. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has a few scuffs and dimples near the neck bolts and up on the top corner, as well as widespread light scuffs. The sides have minor dimples around the whole body, no major marks. The front has some extra holes from since removed thumb rests, as well as a chip on the bottom edge down from the knobs, some dimples up from the neck pickup and widespread light scuffs around the body.  Overall: good condition (7/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have minor wear but look pretty good, 7/10 for fret life left. All electrics tested and working properly. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
