(SOLD) Edwards E-JB-93R Surf Green 2013
Edwards E-JB-93R Jazz style bass, surf green, made in Japan 2013. Edwards is the 'vintage style' side of ESP; so they're made to a brilliant standard in Japan and largely sold to the domestic Japan market. This one was their take on the '62 Jazz Bass, so you get an alder body, slim round maple neck with a tasty rosewood board and trad style tuners etc. It's light and lively in the hands, plus the neck has that certain 'thing'; that is, it just feels a bit magical. The surf green hue is a non-catalog option; this must've been a limited run thing at the time. These come with a tasty nitro topcoat on the finish; it's a classy thing indeed. Tone-wise, this has a fat and defined attack and a balanced, growly midrange... it would certainly sit in a mix nicely. Let's be honest: we all want it, because it's green.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. Headstock has some very light scuffs on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has a couple of tiny scuffs, no major marks. The sides are pretty clean, save for a little dent around from the knobs. The front is pretty tidy, just a dimple below the bridge, a dent behind the bridge on the edge and a little scuff on the top horn. Overall: very good condition (8/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have minor wear; 8/10 for fret life left. All electrics tested and working properly. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
