Epiphone 1958 Korina Explorer, made in China in 2007, in natural korina finish. This has got to be one of the more practical 'pointy' guitars going around; the body is well balanced when both sitting and standing, the moderately hot passive pickups are versatile and crunchy, and the tune-o-matic bridge and stop tail piece combo are very solid. This particular example is in great shape, both in terms of cosmetics and playing condition. Between a setup with 11/49s and the Grover machine heads, it feels very sold and holds tune brilliantly. It's got a nice bitey crunch with a full, defined midrange and feels most at home playing big rhythm parts. These go for around $1.2k new with a case, so grab a bargain with attitude to burn.
