Epiphone Lucille, bone white, made in China 2021. You know that scene at the end of The Blues Brothers when Cab Calloway sings 'Minnie the Moocher' on a dazzling white grand piano? Here's the perfect guitar for that scene. BB King casts a huge shadow over the guitar universe, very few players can boast his prestige as a storyteller in sound. This feels like a quality instrument in the hands: sturdy hardware, tidy fretwork, well balanced... it's unassuming and reliable. The varitone switch means you can dial all manner of tones out of the humbuckers, from lo-fi grizzles to fat, warm legato leads to hi-fi crisp rhythm tones. Dial up your iconic aesthetic a few notches with this and a matching hat... and some gold teeth for good measure.
