Epiphone Sheraton Ebony 2000

Epiphone Sheraton, gloss black, made in Korea 2000. This looks so good in the shop, it's turned plenty of heads. The Sheraton is among Epiphone's highest end offerings, so you get the fetch 7-ply binding, fancy inlays, gold hardware and the cool tree on the headstock. This example was made in Korea, and these 1995-05 Korean made Epis are generally very well made guitars with all the details in very good order. It feels great: the neck is a rounded, moderate profile that sits nicely in the hand, the body is resonant and well balanced and has a certain integrity about it. The bridge pickup has been swapped for a dogear P90, which offers a pithy, articulate snap with heaps of clarity and snap through the highs and mids. The neck humbucker is rich, deep and rounded, making for a nice contrast. There's a lot to enjoy here, it's a lush forest.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end and some light scuffs around the tuner posts on the front. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor scuffs and dimples on the back only. The back has a few dimples in the middle and on the top horn and some light scuffs in the elbow area and bottom edge. The sides have some light scuffs on the top horn, dimples in the elbow area and some dimples near the knobs. The front has dimples and scuffs near the knobs and switch, light scratches near the bridge, some scuffs in the elbow area, a small visible gap around the bridge pickup and some standard play scuffs on the guard and horns. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, intonation is good, action is low, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. The frets look pretty tidy, 8/10 for fret life left. Setup with fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
