LTD EC330FM Eclipse, purple burst, made in Indonesia 2014. These LTD guitars have always been nicely made instruments that know what they're trying to do, and this is a good example of that. It's not a jazz guitar, it's not a surfy indie guitar... it's a guitar for crushing riffs, face-melting solos, big angry feelings and unresolved identity crises etc. The purple fade finish is cool, it lets the flame maple grain do the talking and somehow manages to come off looking a little classy and understated... relatively understated, for an outrageous purple flame. The pickups pack plenty of output, so there's a big beefy bottom end on tap and plenty of natural compression to get those big chords coming out with all the weight you need. The top end is crisp and defined, so lead lines still pop nicely with a dollop or two of distortion. The body is nice and light, the neck joint is angled for easy access all the way to the 24th fret and the neck is a shreddable slim round shape, so it's all just a bit too easy to play really. You'll need some purple eyeliner to match, so make sure you budget for that.

The sides have no major marks, just some dimples on the top horn and some light scuffs on the elbow area and near the jack. The front is pretty tidy, just some scuffs near the knobs and some standard play wear on the horns. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 10-52 strings.
