LTD Viper 407, matte black, made in Korea 2006. This guitar would look pretty good on the front seat of the Batmobile. LTD guitars have generally been regarded well for build quality, and these earlier Korean-made models deservedly attract some higher praise than their later Indonesian or Chinese counterparts. The matte black finish has a few miles on the clock, but it's looking great with a bit of glossing around the high-contact areas. The EMGs deliver a thick, salty tone with a heap of natural compression and body; it cleans up pretty well but eats up high-gain settings for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's a lot to like here, and compared to a new model this surely represents a bargain.

Model: ESP LTD Viper 407

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has a very minor mark on the end. Neck is pretty clean, just some glossing from play. The back has some light scuffs and glossing from contact and a little bit of 'buckle rash' light scratching near the neck joint. The sides have a few minor marks: some dimples on the top horn, some rub-wear and dimples on the shoulder, minor chips and dings near the jack and rear strap pin and some dimples on the bottom horn. The front has no major marks, just some dimples on the bottom horn and behind the bridge and some glossing and light scratches from djenting above the bridge pickup and below the strings. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets are looking pretty good, around 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 10-56 strings.
