Fender '57 Reissue Strat, made in Japan 1993/4, sunburst. Classic, classy, simple, satisfying... that's this in four words. The mildly chunky '50s neck on this is instantly familiar; it's lively and responsive and you can feel the notes pulsing through it as you play. The body is light and similarly sensitive; it rings truly with each note. Strats ought to be glassy, spanky and warm, and this certainly delivers on those; it's got a charismatic tone that's disarming and eloquent. These Fujigen-era Strats are increasingly scarce and reliably excellent; this one is sure to be a quiet overachiever for another few decades yet.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's some minor dimples on the back and front of the body, nothing nasty. The neck and headstock are pretty clean. There's some discolouration on the plastics and some minor pitting on the metal parts, but everything works fine. Overall: very good condition (8/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have very some minor wear, 8/10 for life left. Charming!
