Fender '62 Reissue Strat, aged sonic blue, made in Japan 2007-10. Gosh, what a babe! This could easily be mistaken for 'surf green', but it's too mellow for that; looking in the neck pocket reveals the original sonic blue peaking through. Being a faded finish, it's very slightly different in hue in some areas; that's part of the fun of this sort of finish. It's pretty hard to think of a better looking guitar! The slim 62-profile neck is perfectly smooth in the hands; it's easy to move around on and really feels great. This packs that perfect Strat spank, it's got a really nicely balanced tone with heaps of attack and chime. This is the whole package; it all ties together perfectly in the hands. And hot damn... that finish!
Model: Fender Stratocaster, '62 Reissue (ST62)
Made: Japan, 2007-10 (serial T077637)
Finish: sonic blue (SBL), heavily yellowed, 3-ply white guard
Body: basswood
Neck: maple with rosewood board, dot inlays
Mods: none
Neck, middle and bridge pickup: Fender Japan ST Singles
Case: basic non-original gig bag
Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's really not much to speak of in terms of dings, just the occasional dimple here and there. The lacquer has yellowed pretty significantly, it was a bright sonic blue when it was new. Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have very little wear, heaps of life, 9/10. Really nice!
