Fender '62 Reissue Strat, aged sonic blue, crafted in Japan 1997-00. Strats are the best guitars, and green is the best colour for a Strat... so, by pure logic, this is the best. It's a bit of a guessing game to discern what colour this was out of the factory, but around the edges of the contour lines you can see the original sonic blue showing through. The naturally yellowed finish gives the colour a beautiful depth and variation, it's got a little more character than a straight factory surf green. The slim '62 neck profile is an instant-winner, it's perfectly comfortable and always feels like it's on your side. The neck has had the gloss finish removed and is now finished in satin, so it's extra smooth under the hands. The factory US pickups are tasty: bright, open and full with heaps of spank. This is a delightful Strat that delivers on all fronts. If you can't look good playing this, we can't help you sorry!

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's really not much to speak of in terms of dings, just the occasional dimple here and there. The lacquer has yellowed pretty significantly, it was a bright sonic blue when it was new. Overall: excellent condition (8.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have very little wear, heaps of life, 9/10. Really nice!
