Fender '62 Strat, surf green, made in Japan 2007-10. There's not many better looking guitars around than a surf green Strat, especially if it's paired with a tasty rosewood board and vintage-correct styling. This oozes offbeat-class; the green absolutely pops and will surely inspire many groans of delight from fellow players and punters alike. The tone on tap is pure Strat-goodness: heaps of sparkle and bite, balanced by an immediate punchy attack and a warm, controlled bass. These later generation USA pickups offer a great balance of clarity, sheen and depth. The slim '62 style neck is an instant winner and probably the most requested neck shape we get around here; it's just so easy to play. One rule if you decide to take it and give it a forever home: please refrain from calling it "the green machine", Lord knows both the guitar and you deserve better.
